new oiss staff
Hi! My name is Meg Popick, and I am very excited to be the newest member of the OISS staff. I moved to Boston after living in Atlanta, Georgia for a year and working in the Office of International Education at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
My work at GA Tech included working with their study abroad programs as well as their international F-1 and J-1 students and scholars. My enthusiasm for international education, and my desire to move back to the Northeast, has led me to the BC OISS.
I am originally from Florida, but moved to Scituate, MA while in high school. I attended Fairfield University (a Jesuit University in southwestern Connecticut) where I studied biology and Spanish. Even though I started out my college career on the medical school track, my extra-curricular activities and my experience studying abroad in Granada, Spain and volunteering in Ecuador encouraged me to take a different path. My other interests include dancing, traveling, music and the outdoors. I am looking forward to working in the OISS, pursing a masters degree in higher education administration here at BC and meeting all of you.
