Arrupe International

After participating in the Arrupe International Immersion Program, undergraduate student participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize that they were a committed member of an intentional community of trust and love and, ideally, of faith exploration – and, inspired by this community experience, will choose to foster similar trusting, loving relationships, ideally influenced by their emerging faith journey;

  2. Share a story of someone they met during their Arrupe trip who suffers in physical/economic-related poverty and/or from social injustice, who they came to care about, and whose story continues to be meaningful for them and perhaps even informs their decisions; and

  3. Articulate, in their own words, what it means to live “in solidarity” with people who suffer in physical/economic-related poverty and/or from social injustice, and identify one meaningful and practical way in which they are striving to do this.
