German Studies Minor
office of international programs
The Department offers and encourages opportunities for contact with German-speaking Europe and for study abroad in Germany and Austria, as well as summer internships in Germany and the possibility of teaching in Germany following graduation. In addition, the German Studies Department has been highly successful with its graduating students applying for the Fulbright Grants and for DAAD scholarships. In 2006-2007, the Department produced thirteen Fulbright scholars to Germany, which was in all likelihood the most from any university in the United States to a single country in the history of the Fulbright program.
