Students on both BC and non-BC programs may fulfill certain major and minor requirements abroad. To request substitution credit for abroad courses, contact the relevant department. Pre-approved courses do not require a substitution request. 

Carrol School of Management (CSOM) students seeking A&S credit for courses taken abroad: contact Erica Graf (erica.graf.1@bc.edu)

Lynch School of Education (LSOE) students seeking A&S credit for courses taken abroad: contact Maureen Raymond (maureen.raymond@bc.edu)

To request substitution credit, students must turn in a signed Course Substitution Form to Student Services in Lyons Hall. Students should make every possible effort to seek approval for major and minor substitution credit before going abroad. Students may apply for substitution credit up to the following deadlines:

October 1 – for courses taken abroad during the previous Spring, Summer, or Full Year term

March 1 – for courses taken abroad during the previous Fall term
