hangouts.google.com
  1. Click New conversationNew group.
  2. Enter or select the names, phone numbers, or email addresses of people you want to add.
Click New conversation → New group.
  1. To start a group conversation or video call, click Message or Video Call.

Start a Video Call

  1. Go to: hangouts.google.com
  2. Click Video call.
    This will take you to Hangouts Meet.
  3. Click Start a new meeting.

  1. Click Join now.
Click Join now.
  1. Select Add people and enter names and emails.
  2. When you're done with the video call, click the red hangup circle next to End call.

Start a conversation

  1. On your computer, go to hangouts.google.com or open Hangouts in Gmail. Note: If you have the Hangouts Chrome extension, Hangouts will open in a new window.
  2. At the top, click New conversation.
At the top, click New conversation.
  1. Enter and select a name or email address.
  2. Type your message.
  3. On your keyboard, press Enter.

Creating Appointments (similar to office hours) using Google Calendar and Google Meet

  1. On your computer, follow these instructions to create appointment slots.
  2. Send a message with the link to your appointment slots to those who you want to schedule the appointments.
  3. Once an appointment is booked, you can open each appointment on your calendar and add conferencing using Google Meet.
Add Hangouts Meet to the appointment.
