The Compass Mentoring Program is a new pilot program that aims to provide supportive communities for incoming first-year AHANA students. Led by upperclassmen Mentors, the compass program will engage first-year students beginning on their orientation weekend and offer guidance and support throughout their first semester at Boston College.

Two Compass Mentors will lead weekly small groups meeting with 8 first-year students. Compass participants will receive guidance and gain insights about how to navigate their first semester of college, as well as be exposed to important campus resources.

Above all, first-year students will be able to develop friendships and gain a strong sense of community at BC.

For application information please attend the Compass Information Meeting during Orientation.

Compass Participants will commit to:
  • Attending the Compass Kick-off Event in September
  • Attending weekly small group meetings throughout the 2017 Fall Semester
  • Attending a minimum of 1 large scale Compass event
