Registration Policy and Procedures

Participation in Employee Development programs is a work-related activity and is expected of one’s job. All programs are offered during normal working hours. To participate in any professional development activity that is not held during lunchtime, employees should simply make appropriate arrangements with their supervisor. The Department of Human Resources encourages all personnel to take advantage of these opportunities.

A minimum number of participants is needed for each program. We ask that you preregister to ensure the program is taking place and your space in it.

We encourage early registration. Programs sometimes fill or are canceled because of insufficient registration. Avoid possible disappointment by registering promptly.

Please be prompt

All programs begin at the stated time. We urge you to arrive 15 minutes early to pick up workshop materials and to get settled. A light breakfast will be available 15 minutes prior to start of morning programs.

If you need to cancel

Please take the responsibility to notify the Employee Development Office as soon as possible if you cannot attend (ext. 2-6088). No-shows prevent those on a wait-list from participating because they cannot be contacted in time. Also, a significant number of no-shows may result in too few participants for the workshop to take place.
