David Altenor '09

CEO, Kingdomsound Music Group, LLC

David Altenor is a multi-award winning artist, producer and songwriter who has been involved in music ministry since the age of 14, when he began playing the piano for church and choirs. Since then, David has worked with artists and groups from all over the globe, bringing a new sound to the world that carries the message of God, love and inspiration through various genres of music. David uses his abilities to write, produce and arrange all of his own music and has appeared on television, the Apollo Theater and various national music tours. In 2012, he launched a record label, Kingdomsound Music Group, LLC, that uses music as a tool to promote the word of God, to impact social change in all places and influence people to be better global citizens. Also a Boston College Alum, David is from Everett, MA and has earned a degree in Theology from Boston College in 2009. He is also the Head Music Director for the Voices of Imani Gospel Choir at BC. Bill Chisolm '87

Owner, Bill Chisolm Fine Arts

Bill has spent his entire adult life working in the visual arts. From 1984 while still in college he worked as a lead assistant for one of Boston's leading fashion photographers. After graduating in 1987 he began his own photographic career of portrait and fashion work which continued until 2000. In 2000 he returned to school to study drawing and painting and began working as a fulltime oil painter in 2004. He has exhibited in galleries and art festivals throughout the US.


Sarah Colwill-Brown '15

Marketing and Community Engagement Manager, GrubStreet

Sarah has lived in the US for four years, graduating from Boston College in 2014 with an MA in English Literature. Her creative work has appeared in The Conium ReviewThe Medulla ReviewPoetry & Audience, and elsewhere, and she spent the last two years as assistant managing editor for Post Roadmagazine. A member of the 2014-15 Novel Incubator class, Sarah is at work on her first novel, and can usually be found curled up with her notebook, a stash of black ballpoint pens, and endless cups of tea. Sarah grew up in Yorkshire, England, birthplace of the Brontes, Patrick Stewart, and not being from London. She is very excited to join the GrubStreet team as Marketing and Community Engagement Manager. GrubStreet is one of the nation's leading creative writing centers.


Jane Conway-Caspe '83

Fashion Executive, School of Fashion Design, Fashion Group International

Jane Conway Caspe graduated from BC in 1983 with a BA in Psychology. During her junior year she started working as a model for runway, television and advertising. This sparked her interest in fashion and design and she has now been working in the Fashion Industry for the past 30 years. Jane is on the Board of Trustees at the School of Fashion Design and works as a representative and speaker for the school. She is also on the Board of Directors at Fashion Group International and organizes many fashion events, including Boston Fashion Week. Jane owns two fashion related businesses, ACK Originals and The Nantucket Doll Collection Inc. An executive manager and partner at Wildflower Concierge of Nantucket, she also co-authored a book called The Nantucket Diet published by Random House in 2005. Jane owes much of her success to her BC education. She is proud to support the BC community by helping students who are interested in fashion make connections and prosper in the field.


Erin Dionne '97


Erin Dionne’s books are Models Don’t Eat Chocolate Cookies(Dial Books 2009), The Total Tragedy of a Girl Named Hamlet(Dial 2010), and Notes from an Accidental Band Geek (Dial 2012). All have been nominated to state and ALA reading lists. Her novel Moxie and the Art of Rule Breaking: A 14 Day Mystery(Dial 2013), is based on the real-life Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum art heist. It was an Edgar Award finalist for 2013. The series continues with Ollie and the Science of Treasure Hunting (Dial 2014), which focuses on pirate treasure and is set on the Boston Harbor islands. A graduate of Boston College (English & Communications, 1997) and Emerson College (MFA, 1999); she teaches writing at Montserrat College of Art and lives outside of Boston with her husband, two children, and a very indignant dog.


Maureen Donovan '78

Deputy Director/Interim Co-Director, Harvard Art Museums

Maureen Donovan has been with the Harvard Art Museums since 1978, working in Collections Management before joining the Director’s Office in 2010.The Harvard Art Museums are comprised of three museums—the Fogg Museum, Busch-Reisinger Museum, and Arthur M. Sackler Museum—each with a different history, collection, guiding philosophy, and identity. In November 2014, the Harvard Art Museums reopened to the public with a renovated and expanded facility, designed by Renzo Piano. In addition to providing galleries for permanent, temporary and curricular exhibitions, works from the collection (approximately 250,000 from across the world and spanning thousands of years and all media) are accessible through an expansive Art Study Center. Unique in size and scope among North American museums, the Art Study Center allows visitors to request objects not currently on display in the galleries, facilitating self-directed teaching and learning from works in all media. The Harvard Art Museums are dedicated to creating transformative teaching and learning experiences for students, faculty, and the public. The comprehensive collections are put to work as vital teaching instruments that enhance critical thinking. All of the spaces in the new facility have been designed to facilitate teaching and learning through art. With innovative programs tailored to diverse audiences, the museums are a site for all to convene and discover the power of object-based learning.


Philip Gilpin, Jr. '03

Executive Director, Independent Televison and Film Festival

Philip Gilpin, Jr. is Boston-area native and Boston College alum, class of 2003, with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics. After leaving BC, he began a career in entertainment working as a business affairs analyst at HBO until 2008. During that time, Philip was a guest at the 1st Annual ITVFest in 2006 where he met the festival’s creators. In 2010, he left LA and moved back to New England. When the opportunity came up in 2012 to potentially move ITVFest to Vermont, Philip seized the day, raised the necessary funds and took over the reigns of the festival. Since then, Phil has run ITVFest out of Dover, Vermont each September, and each year it gets even bigger and better. The 11th Annual ITVFest will be run again by Phil September 21st – 25th, 2016.

Christopher is a freelance photographer doing creative portraiture, headshots, weddings, events, and performing arts. He is often on campus photographing events and portraits, as Boston College was his first major client. His work can be seen at and He posts his work for BC at


Kerrie Kennedy '81

President/Creative Director, Intente, Inc.

Kerrie (Scudder) Kennedy graduated from Boston College in 1981, majoring in Studio Art. After graduation, Kerrie honed her electronic media design skills at venerable computer giant Digital Equipment Corporation, where she spent ten years in the Media Communications Group. Project work included presentation design, video and animation design, and art direction. She continued to broaden her media design expertise working at Freedman Kennedy Design, and eventually formed her current web design and development company, Intente, in early 2004. They specialize in creating beautiful and hardworking responsive web stores built on the NetSuite SuiteCommerce platform. Additional work ranges from informational websites, landing pages, email campaign templates, and WordPress blogs. Kerrie and her company have delivered successful projects and established strong relationships with customers across North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Kerrie specializes in web design and development, including expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite as well as CSS, HTML, javascript/jQuery, and ecommerce.


Micaela Lade '06

Manager, Steven Alan

Micaela Lade is currently the Manager of Steven Alan's Boston store. Steven Alan is a New York-based luxury retailer of clothing, shoes, accessories, and lifestyle products. Previously, she spent two and a half years as an Assistant Buyer at Design Within Reach, where she covered the lighting, outdoor, bedroom, workspace, and storage categories. Prior to DWR, she spent five years at Phaidon Press, the world's premier publisher of books on the visual arts. At Phaidon, she worked in the Sales & Marketing department and covered many positions, traveling all over North America. 


Alex Lorditch '14

Director of Marketing, Urbanity Dance

Alex graduated from BC in 2014 with a degree in Communications and American Studies. While at BC, she served as the Assistant Director and Director of the Dance Organization of Boston College, and this inspired her to seek outside dance opportunities in the city. After interning with Urbanity Dance for her junior and senior years, she was offered a job after graduation and spent her first year as the Company Manager: producing shows, handling internal/external company communications, and coordinating the company's Summer Intensive. Now she serves as Director of Marketing for the entire organization, marketing the company, school and community programs, all of which reach a combined 5,000 students and dancers in the city each year. 


Stacey B. McCarthy '01

Artist, Head of Visual Arts for Middlesex School

Stacey earned a B.A. in art and English at Boston College, as well as an M.F.A. at Tufts University/The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Prior to joining the Middlesex faculty, she taught painting, drawing, and ceramics at institutions including Boston College, The Boston Architectural College, SMFA, and The Fenn School. Stacey has also co-led several collaborative community arts initiatives in the Boston area. In addition to her work as an educator, she is a professional artist whose work has been exhibited at theAidekman Arts Center at Tufts University, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Firehouse Gallery in Burlington, Vermont, and many other galleries.


Andrew Padilla '01

Freelance Graphic Designer/Marketer, The Trustees

Andrew likes to wear many hats, and inserts himself into all aspects of creative communications and environmental design. He is currently working with the conservation/preservation organization, The Trustees, on multiple projects, and recently designed and built the Appleton Farms vendor booth at the Boston Public Market. Andrew grew up in Santa Fe, NM, immersed in art, culture and natural inspiration. As an undergrad at BC, he considered what might allow him to be visually creative, use his writing skills, support a worthy cause, have fun and—of course—pay the bills. That led him to creative marketing, where he’s been ever since. Andrew has worked in a variety of organizations, including the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, where he managed the design and production of all printed materials, advertising and other branded items. Working with people from all walks of life—from CEOs and elected officials to high school dropouts—he has benefited in ways that he never expected. In the real world, Andrew is a husband and dad, and enjoys riding bikes and playing outside.



Adam Parshall '13

Content Manager,

As Content Manager at, Adam provides original editorial content, manages social media channels, manages a grow-ing team of interns, curates and promotes events in Boston, and creates branded content for a variety of community, advertising, and promotional partners. is a listings guide and marketing tool for music, culture, art, and nightlife events in Boston. Adam is also an active freelance writer and journalist, covering musical and cultural events around Boston , Providence, and Raleigh, NC. He graduated from Boston College in 2013 with a B.A. in English.


Andrew Jacob Russell '00

Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

Andrew Russell is the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where he is responsible for developing and executing corporate citizenship programs for the leading provider of K12 content in the United States, including external non-profit partnerships, volunteerism, matching gifts, and other employee engagement opportunities. Prior to joining HMH in 2014, Andrew was Director of Institutional and International Relations at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, leading a team that solicited support from the corporate, foundation, and government sectors as well as setting international strategy and business development for the Museum. Andrew began his career in the Integrated Marketing department at the ABC Television Network in New York, ideating, selling, and executing product integrations in primetime, daytime and news programming. A Boston resident since 2006, he has worked in station marketing at WGBH Educational Foundation, where he created a national co-branded marketing campaign for This Old House, and launched the PBS Kids series Curious George.  Prior to joining the MFA in 2011, Andrew served for four years as Senior Manager of Corporate Sponsorship at the Boston Symphony Orchestra, creating and managing branded corporate partnerships across the BSO’s various performance brands. Andrew serves as Development Committee Chair on the Board of Trustees for Wediko Children’s Services, and as the Co-Chair for College Bound Dorchester’s College Bound Champions young professionals donor group.


Jere Shea '87


Tony Award Nominee Jere Shea is a stage, film and television actor and entertainer. Best known as Giorgio in the world/Broadway premiere and film version of Stephen Sondheim's PASSION, Jere has performed in theaters across the nation. His Film and TV credits include PATH TO PARADISE, LAW & ORDER, THE COSBY MYSTERIES, and A SEASON IN PURGATORY. He also starred in the Boston based feature film SOUTHIE. Jere earned his Master of Fine Arts in Acting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program and his Bachelor of Arts in Theater at Boston College. He trained at Stanislavski's Moscow Art Theatre School and Ireland’s national Abbey Theatre. An accomplished singer, songwriter and guitarist, Jere performs in venues across New England. He can be heard on the Grammy Award winning Original Broadway Cast recording of PASSION. Jere has also coached actors for over two decades, and has worked in development, raising over $30 Million for non-profits in New England and throughout the world.


Karen Stein '96

Principal Designer and Cofounder, goodgood

Karen Stein is a designer, educator and public artist. In 2008, she co-founded the design firm goodgood, embracing a cross-disciplinary, collaborative approach. Her work traverses various design mediums including: branding, print, web, environmental design, as well as new media. She considers socio-cultural, economic and environmental factors to be an integral part of the design process. Graduating from Boston College in 1996 with a double major in Philosophy and Political Science, she went on to receive her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Visual Communication. In addition to her design practice, she has taught at local colleges including the Museum School, MassArt, Tufts and UMass Dartmouth.


William Vareika '74

Art Dealer/Gallery Owner, Vareika Fine Arts Ltd

Bill Vareika is a gallery owner, specialist in 18th and 19th century American art, writer, lectur-er, community activist, preservationist, and philanthropist. A 1974 graduate of Boston Col-lege with a degree in Political Science, Magna Cum Laude, Vareika abandoned law school plans to move to Newport to volunteer to direct a six-year legal battle to save a historic church in Newport, RI which was decorated by John La Farge, a 19th century American artist he had dis-covered in his one art history course at BC. Vareika’s first job after college was as a part-time custodian at the Newport Art Association, now the Newport Art Museum. In this early period, he also helped to support him-self as a modest art dealer, commonly referred to as a “picker.” He later took a leave of absence from graduate studies in American Civilization at Brown University in order to begin a serious career as an art dealer. Over the past 28 years, William Vareika Fine Arts, Ltd has grown into one of the largest and most respected galleries in the US, specializing in the purchase and sale of important 18th, 19th and early 20th century works of art.


Stephen Zubricki III '89

Principal, Mystic View Design, Inc., Graphic Design and Photography

Stephen Zubricki III earned a Marketing Degree from Boston College, CSOM. Since 1994, he has worked at Mystic View Design, a family owned graphic design and photography firm that produces corporate collateral and websites for public and private clients. He runs the day to day operations of the business, is a photographer and also a web developer. He has enjoyed meeting people from many industries and traveling to shoot photography for his clients.
