From very humble beginnings in a volatile and a modest community, Michael Fernando Davidson, S.J. is a Jesuit of the USA Northeast Province of the Society of Jesus, and a native of Kingston, Jamaica. As a Jesuit, Michael served multiple roles at St. George’s Collee (a Jesuit high school in Jamaica): Dean of Students, Teacher of Accounting and Religious of Education, and Choir Director. A priest of and for the people, Fr. Michael is presently  working closely with the AHANA Community and leads the Jamaica Magis service trip and the Magis Civil Rights Immersion Trip for Boston College students to Jamaica , Atlanta and Alabama . At Boston College, Fr. Michael is also a Resident Minister; and he teaches Courage to Know (a course for first-year college students).

Fr. Michael holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Arrupe College in Zimbabwe; and he completed his B.A. in Theology and a M.A. in Divinity from Regis College at the University of Toronto. Fr. Michael also pursued a Master’s in Educational Administration from the Lynch School of Education at Boston College.

In addition to being a fervent proponent of social justice, a passionate promoter of diversity and equity, and a fearless advocate for vulnerable populations, Fr. Michael is affable, charismatic and inspiring. And he always tries to put a smile on people’s faces and in their hearts.
