Elizabeth Dobers, executive director of business banking for BBVA, was featured on AL.com for the bank's response to provide loans to small businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program—a huge undertaking as more than 19,000 small businesses in her home state of Alabama have received $3.8 billion in Small Business Administration loans through the program. “It has changed the way all of us work together,” she said. “This program is a big part of what we felt was the industry’s calling, to get the economy back on track.” Colleague Christina Anderson, SVP and director of external communications, commended the program on LinkedIn: "Hugely proud of the role BBVA is playing in keeping businesses and their employees afloat during this global challenge."
