Fran Sherman Testifies Before House Subcommittee

3/12/10--BC Law Professor and director of the Juvenile Rights Advocacy Project Francine Sherman testified yesterday in front of the US  House Subcommittee on Healthy Families and Communities, Committee on Education and Labor.

3/12/10--BC Law Professor and director of the Juvenile Rights Advocacy Project Francine Sherman testified yesterday in front of the US  House Subcommittee on Healthy Families and Communities, Committee on Education and Labor.  The topic was the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act re-authorization and the challenges facing girls.  JJDPA was last re-authorized in 2002, and is 3 years overdue for re-authorization.  The Senate judiciary committee passed a version of the bill at the end of 2009.
