Housed within the highly ranked Lynch School of Education and Human Development, Boston College’s M.A. in Learning, Design, and Technology (LDT) prepares you to use technology to design inclusive learning experiences for a variety of settings, ranging from early childhood to higher education classrooms, museums, social service and community agencies, and nonprofits.
Whether you want to design the next generation of educational technology, tech-enhanced curriculum and assessment, or innovative employee training and consumer education programs, you’ll develop the expertise and imagination you need to dynamically engage learners.
“ If you’re interested in bringing innovation to education, if you believe that technology can empower people to learn new things in new ways, while making them more human, if you want to develop a critical mindset alongside design skills, then this program is for you! ”
Our program culminates in an applied experience course that allows students to get hands-on practical experience with companies, products, and research.
These applied experiences can take the form of conducting research, creating learning environments, or designing products.
With over 35,000 projected job openings in the U.S. each year through 2032 and a median entry-level salary of $72,520 (Bureau of Labor Statistics), M.A. in Learning, Design, and Technology graduates can thrive in a range of in-demand roles.
