Participants will learn about:

  • The role of constitutional courts

Each of the five days will offer a two-hour, live synchronous session and a two-hour, recorded asynchronous session. The live sessions offered via Zoom will be interactive; participants may attend recorded sessions at a time that is convenient.

Foundations: An Introduction to U.S. Legal Analysis - Online

This five-day program - now offered online! - will allow participants to engage in legal analysis and problem solving by reviewing legal problems in depth. For four hours each day, students will explore how to gather facts, craft a theory of the case, understand and synthesize precedent, and write an analysis. The program will consist of 10 online sessions devoted to problem analysis and additional online sessions on substantive topics and the U.S. legal system in action.

Program Schedule:

  • Daily intensive sessions with Boston College Law School faculty on legal reasoning and communication, including oral and written projects.
  • Interactive sessions and workshops with Boston College Law School faculty on substantive areas of their expertise, including courses such as: Administrative Law; Constitutional Law; Contract Law; Consumer Protection; Corporate Practice; Family Law; Criminal Law; Intellectual Property Law; Legal Ethics; Tort Law.
