Tuition & Registration
$870.00 per credit for undergraduate courses. Most courses offered during the summer session are 3 credits.
Graduate students should refer to their individual BC school for their degree program costs and fees.
Science courses requring a 1-credit lab will incur an additional 1 credit in tuition plus a lab fee of $355 (Physics) or $355 (Biology and Chemistry). Fee covers cost of laboratory materials. *
Registration fee is $45.

Pre-Registration for Summer 2019 is now closed.
If you submitted a pre-registration request you will be officially registered by the Office of Student Services beginning April 4th. Pre-registrations will be processed in the order of student class year/appointment date as noted on the official BC Registration Calendar.
Beginning Thursday, April 4th:
- BC day students who did not pre-register should go to the Student Services front counter in Lyons Hall to register for summer 2019 courses.
- Woods College students who did not pre-register should register for summer 2019 courses through their Agora Portal.
Please Note: Tuition and fee charges for summer will be applied to your Agora account in early May.
Students Not Enrolled at Boston College should register here.
Confirmation of registration will be sent by email within 5 business days of receipt of registration form.
Pass/Fail is NOT an option for summer courses, but most courses may be taken for Audit (no academic credit is earned).
International Students: Boston College does not issue visas for international students to attend Summer Session courses outside of their enrollment in a Boston College degree program.
Tuition and fees will be posted to your student account and can be viewed and paid through the Agora portal. All fees and tuition charges are due and payable in full upon receipt of invoice.
New students: You will be notified via your BC email that your tuition invoice is available at which time you may pay via e-check or credit card through the BC Agora portal.
Continuing Woods College students: You will pay via the Agora portal as per the usual payment process.
Students are responsible for the tuition for all courses for which they have registered.
Students are responsible for the tuition and all related fees for all courses for which they have registered.
Students wishing to withdraw from a summer course must complete an official withdrawal form in the Summer Session Office in St. Mary’s Hall South, or send a written notification of withdrawal to the Summer Session Office. All course withdrawals must be received by the Summer Session Office prior to the final scheduled class meeting.
If a student drops a course in the Summer Session Office, before the 2nd class meeting of the course, no record is maintained; for students withdrawing after this, a grade of W is recorded on the student’s transcript and no academic credit is granted.
Students dropping a course before the second class meeting will receive a 100% cancellation of tuition and fees.
There are no refunds for students withdrawing from a course after the second class meeting of that course.
BC students may not take summer course Pass/Fail, nor for Audit.
