Digital Communities Seminar
Students will have the opportunity to discuss and analyze interaction and social cohesion in the online space, and the way in which communities form, items become viral, and successful campaigns are launched. Students will have the opportunity to provide analyses of recent instances of popular culture social media, and consider the elements that led to notoriety. Additional consideration will be devoted to the influence of digital media in the Arab Spring and the 2016 presidential election.
Course will run Monday - Thursday for approximately two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon. Exact class times to be determined.
