Six-Week Honors Program
- Dates: June 29 – August 11, 2023
- Application Deadline: March 10, 2023
The Honors Program is open to rising high school juniors and seniors who meet the academic qualifications (GPA 3.8 or higher) necessary to participate. This program is asynchronous/online only. Students admitted into the Boston College Honors Program may earn college credit by enrolling in one (1) or two (2) undergraduate courses from a carefully curated list of undergraduate courses scheduled to run asynchronous/online through the Boston College's Summer Session.
Students will have access to BC resources but will not have any on-campus access. All BCE Honors who satisfy the requirements for the coursework are eligible to earn up to 4 semester credits and request an official transcript from the Office of Student Services.
Students admitted into BCE Honors will be provided with the list of the summer undergraduate courses available to them upon confirmation of intent to enroll in the Honors program. Their choices will be recorded, and the BCE program will enroll BCE Honors students in their courses of choice. BCE Honors students may not register themselves for summer courses.
Students who apply to the Boston College Honors Program cannot apply to the Two-Week Non-Credit Courses.
Course Offerings

The summer courses open to BCE Honors students are carefully curated to represent a wide variety of subjects of interest at the appropriate levels of aptitude. BCE Honors students may find themselves in the virtual classroom with current Boston College undergraduate students representing schools across the institution, including Morrissey College of Arts and Science, Lynch School of Education, Connell School of Nursing, Carroll School of Management, and Woods School of Advancing Studies. Students in the BCE Honors Program choose one or two courses.
