Profile

Information Security professional with over 25 years of experience relative to protecting confidential information within private and public entities, both nationally and at the state level.  Currently responsible for information security regarding enterprise-level environments including large scale enterprise deployments, procurements, and advanced security controls and solutions. Draper, as a nationally recognized defense and commercial entity, has been modernized to be more agile and grow its commercial offerings.  This effort has been driven in collaboration with the Information Security Office to ensure that the business drives security measures.

Planned, designed and implemented several cloud solutions to ensure compute resources for complicated engineering and commercial projects.

While at the Commonwealth, responsible for security policies, monitoring, as well as compliance relative to the Commonwealth’s Executive Branch agencies which encompassed over 50,000 users. Extensive experience in security governance, risk management compliance, incident response and investigation, and IT services with a proven track record of enabling the Commonwealth’s customers and constituents. Providing leadership and strategic direction regarding the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ security posture with emphasis regarding customer support and overarching information security standards.

Planned, designed and implemented Information Security Program at Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development.

Planned, designed and implemented numerous training programs at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding confidential data.

2015 - Recruited by Boston College as an Adjunct Professor for that institution’s Master of Science Cybersecurity Policy and Governance. Currently teaching courses relative to Incident Response and recruited for membership to Boston College’s Academic Admittance Committee.
