Boston College offers online community
Online study and prayer as response to Mass suspensions
Chestnut Hill, MA— STM Online: Crossroads, a program of the Boston College School of the Theology and Ministry, has responded to health officials’ calls for social distancing, and the suspension of Mass in many dioceses by expanding their online offerings at this time. According to their course announcement, they hope to “provide a faith community when gathering in person has become a challenge.”
In light of the public COVID-19 response, Crossroads will open an online course on the Psalms, starting March 25th. Crossroads director, Meghan Lovett said, “In these difficult and trying times, it seems appropriate to look at the Psalms as a source of prayer.” The Bible’s Psalms are a well-known collection of songs that cover a wide range of themes including petitions for God’s help in difficult times.
Crossroads, previously referred to as C21 Online, has been a service of Boston College providing opportunities for adult spiritual enrichment and faith formation to the public since 2004.
