The faculty, staff, and administration of the School of Theology and Ministry extend a warm congratulations to our students graduating August 2019 through August 2020. While we regret very much that our present context has prevented our ability to come together this May in celebration of the accomplishments of our Graduates, we look forward to the possibility of gathering in October. Below you'll find a message from Dean Stegman, blessing, and photo carousel. Please check in to the STM Facebook page throughout the day for additional messages.
Thank you, Graduates, for the many ways you've enriched the life of our school. We have great hope in you as compassionate and faith-filled leaders who will serve as agents of transformation in our Church and world.
God of life and of love,
you have given us Jesus to lead us on our journey
so that we might not walk in darkness,
but may have the light of life.
For every good grace of these past years,
we thank you.
Pour out your blessings
upon our sisters and brothers
who have completed this stage of their journeys
at the School of Theology and Ministry.
As they go forth to be ministers, teachers, scholars, and witnesses of the Gospel throughout the world,
may they continue to be nourished
and continue to grow.
May their hearts be filled with mercy
and sealed with peace.
May they be ever aware of how deeply
they are loved.
May they be agents of healing and reconciliation
in your weary world.
May they see the face of Christ
in everyone they meet, and may everyone they meet see the face of Christ in them.
Holy Spirit, ignite their hearts with passion
for setting the world aflame with your love.
Empower them to stand for true justice,
to be in solidarity with all who suffer,
to teach by word and example,
and to grow ever closer to you.
Grant this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
“I want you to know that, as we send you out, we're proud to do so and proud that you are graduates of our school... and know you're always welcome to come back to the School of Theology and Ministry. Consider Simboli Hall a home away from home.”
