Sophie Hansen, MSW, LCSW, is a part-time faculty member at the Boston College School of Social Work. She is both a clinical and macro social worker who specializes in children and families. Each of her graduate placements were with children impacted by trauma. She has worked in numerous healthcare settings as a medical and psychiatric social worker since graduating in 2016.
Previously the Director of Government Relations at NASW-MA, she currently serves in the Emergency Department at Boston Children's Hospital. She is passionate about highlighting the link between clinical and macro social work, emphasizing how policy can impact social workers and clients directly.
