Elle Kern has been a clinical social worker for more than 35 years and is a part-time faculty member at the Boston College School of Social Work. She started out in community mental health and specialized in the treatment of children who were sexually abused.
For the past 25 years, she has been a clinician and educator, working for many years at the Stone Center Counseling Service at Wellesley College and most recently at Prospect Hill Academy, an urban charter school. Elle has a commitment to advocate for equity and stand up to injustice. In addition she has been a GSA adviser for decades and does pro-bono college admission counseling for first generation and under-represented minority students. Since 1990, Elle has maintained a private practice for social work services.
