The combined efforts of students, faculty, and the entire BC community are what makes the Boston College annual art festival unique every year. These invidivuals (just like you) are passionate about the arts, and are committed to presenting and celebrating three days of performances, exhibitions, and creative expression.
In addition, any arts event taking place on the Boston College campus during the three day festival can be listed in the Arts Festival program by filling out our participation application. The application will be available online in November. All events will also be listed in the Univeristy online events calendar.
The 2020 festival will take place Thursday through Saturday, April 23-25, 2020. Below are some ways you can get involved.
New collaborations for the 2019 Arts Festival
In a collaboration with the Provost and Dean of Faculties and the Vice Provost for Research, this year’s festival features events on the processes of creative innovation: through design thinking, 3D prototyping, and storytelling. Among these events is Stories by (Design + Thinking) @BC, a storytelling ‘fireside chat’ of innovative projects and ongoing initiatives at Boston College using design thinking.
Register for the following events to reserve your spot:
Thursday, April 25: Design Swarms: BC students will take part in an extreme-lean approach used to create innovative solutions to social challenges. This process has been used to address such issues as homelessness, crises faced by refugees, and disaster relief. The final Design Swarms poster will be on view in the O’Neill Plaza Tent. Prior registration required for participation.
Friday, April 26, Time 12–3: MAKE: Rapid Visualization and Prototyping: A workshop demonstrating art and design techniques for prototyping ideas. Devlin Hall, 4th Floor.
