  • Securities and Exchange Commission--The SEC is an independent, nonpartisan, quasijudicial regulatory agency with responsibility for administering the federal securities laws.   • The Economic Bulletin Board (EBB)--The EBB provides access to crucial, late-breaking business information just minutes after its official release, including reports from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Bureau of the Census, the Federal Reserve Board, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Department of Treasury and several other Federal Government agencies.
  • National Bureau of Economic Research--Founded in 1920, the National Bureau of Economic Research is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization dedicated to promoting a greater understanding of how the economy works. The NBER is committed to promoting and disseminating unbiased economic research among public policymakers, business professionals, and the academic community.
  • Regional Economic Information System, 1969-1992-- The REIS data base provides local area economic data for states, counties, and metropolitan areas for 1969-1993. Statistics in the data base include: personal income by source, per-capita personal income, earnings by two digit SIC code, full and part time employment by industry, and regional economic profiles. The REIS data base is produced by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
  • The Market Research Center--The Market Research Center is an important Internet resource for anyone interested in market research, advertising, entertainment, or new media. The site includes industry information about market research and its leading organizations.
  • Advertising Age--Advertising news, information, and links from one of the nation's leading advertising industry trade journals.
  • Audit Bureau of Circulations--The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) established independent audits of newspaper and periodical circulation when it was formed in 1914. Its total membership of 4,225 publishers, advertisers and advertising agencies makes ABC the world's first and largest circulation auditing organization. ABC maintains the world's foremost electronic database of audited-circulation information, and offers reports and services in a variety of print and electronic formats.
  • The Research Seminar in Quantitative Economics--RSQE is an economic modeling and forecasting unit at the University of Michigan. RSQE provides forecasts of the economic outlook for the U.S. and Michigan economies based on quarterly econometric models.

  • The United States International Trade Commission--The USITC is an independent, quasi-judicial federal agency that provides objective trade expertise to both the legislative and executive branches of government, determines the impact of imports on U.S. industries, and directs actions against certain unfair trade practices, such as patent, trademark, and copyright infringement. USITC analysts and economists investigate and publish reports on U.S. industries and the global trends that affect them.
  • United States Trade Representative--The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) is responsible for developing and coordinating U.S. international trade, commodity, and direct investment policy, and leading or directing negotiations with other countries on such matters.
  • Journal of Financial Economics--The Journal provides a specialized forum for the publication of research in the general area of financial economics. It places primary emphasis on the highest-quality analytical, mathematical, and empirical contributions in the areas of portfolio analysis, theories of market equilibrium, and corporate financial management.
  • The Panel Study of Income Dynamics--The PSID is a longitudinal survey of a representative sample of US individuals and the families in which they reside. It has been ongoing since 1968. The data are collected annually, and the data files contain the full span of information collected over the the course of the study. PSID data can be used for cross- sectional, longitudinal, and intergenerational analysis and for studying both individuals and families.

  • Bureau of Transportation Statistics--The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) was established in December 1992 to improve the knowledge base for public decision making, and to improve public awareness of the nation's transportation system and its consequences.
