The Rev. Domenik Ackermann studied Protestant Theology in Göttingen (Germany), Heidelberg (Germany), and Beirut (Lebanon) with a focus on Ecumenical Theology and Interfaith questions.
His research interests include comparative studies on Christianity and Judaism with a particular emphasis on the function of memory in prayerful activity. He has experience in teaching Ancient Greek, Bible, and Religious Studies/Comparative Theology and is a recipient of the Donald J. White Teaching Excellence Award.
Ackermann is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ (UCC).
