The Lonergan Institute at Boston College is the “living memorial” established in 1986 to honor one of Boston College’s most distinguished teachers: Bernard Lonergan, S.J. (1904-1984), author, among other books, of Insight: A Study of Human Understanding. The Institute seeks to foster a community of Lonergan scholarship with M.A. and Post-doctoral fellowships, an annual workshop, the publication of journals and monographs, and a wide-ranging collection of Lonergan’s published and unpublished works, together with monographs, dissertations, and articles about Lonergan, as well as books and periodicals relevant to Lonergan studies.
