I am interested in the impact of river systems on coastal oceans.  My present research is looking at sediment transport processes in the Bohai Sea, the outlet location of one of the largest rivers in the world in terms of sediment discharge, the Yellow River (Huanghe) in northeastern China.

Why did you chose Boston College for graduate school?

I chose to study at BC, because I prefer the learning environment a small department in a private institution has to offer.  I enjoy having good working relationships with many of the professors which is sometimes not possible at larger institutions.
