International Student Advocates (INSTA)
Who We Are
INSTA an international students self-initiated community advocacy program, which was founded in fall 2017 to promote a culturally inclusive community in the Lynch School of Education and Human Development. The goal is not only to advocate for students, but also empower them to urge the institution to address issues of lack of support and take actions to be culturally responsive in teaching, supervision and program development. Thus, INSTA intends to build a bridge of understanding between the international students, domestic students and the college administration/faculty, with the ultimate purpose of improving students’ experiences and affecting change where needed.
