City Connects featured in new guidance from the U.S. Department of Education

The United States Department of Education recently released its second guide to reopening schools and districts across the country. This new resource focuses on addressing inequalities exacerbated by the pandemic through a broad array of strategies to reopen school safely. The guide highlights the importance of effective practices of integrated student support as a way to "to ensure students’ social, emotional, physical, mental health, and academic needs are better met," and improve outcomes for students and their families. City Connects is highlighted as an example of student support practices that schools may implement as they seek to meet the needs of this challenging moment.
