The Center for Psychological Humanities & Ethics is a vibrant hub for projects, initiatives, and convenings dedicated to exploring the most fundamental questions of human existence. Our ongoing work includes:

 

Cura Psychologia: Cultivating a More Virtuous Psychological Science

Funded by the generous investment of the John Templeton Foundation, the Cura Psychologia Project aims to create a vibrant and productive interdisciplinary and cross-departmental community of 18 faculty ambassadors from six Jesuit Catholic Universities.

Division 24 Spring Meeting 2024

The Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology (STPP-APA Division 24) will hold its annual Spring Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA from April 26–28, 2024. Come join us for scholarly engagement, discussion, and reflection in a stimulating and inclusive atmosphere.

Psychology & the Other Conference

The Psychology and the Other Conference is a biennial convening that aims to revitalize psychology by bringing it into dialogue with philosophical, theological, literary, and other humanities-rich traditions.

 

Philip Cushman Research and Educational Fund

The goal of the Philip Cushman Research and Educational Fund is to carry forward Phil’s commitment to theoretical, interdisciplinary, and moral inquiry through public facing offerings and student-oriented training programs.

Psychological Humanities & Ethics Research Group

A diverse group including academics, clinicians, researchers, and students, gathers weekly throughout the academic year. It aims to generate scholarship, conference presentations, and research opportunities for those interested in exploring core human life questions.

2024 Annual Meeting for the Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology

Hosting Earth: A Guestbook Project Collaboration

How can we host the earth as the earth hosts us? Hosting Earth engages with the question of ecological hospitality by asking what it means to be guests of the earth as well as hosts.
