Dear members of the BC Law community:
I wanted to get this very important communication about the bar exam from Executive Director Marilyn Wellington and the Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners to you as soon as possible. We will follow up with more details and an opportunity to join us on our next webinar to discuss this and other topics shortly.
From the MA BBE:
Jurisdictions, including Massachusetts, that will postpone the administration of the July 2020 bar examination will be able to administer the exam September 8-10, or September 29 - October 1, 2020. The Massachusetts administration of the Uniform Bar Exam will be held on September 30 and October 1, 2020 for standard test-takers, with an administration from September 30 - October 3, 2020 for test-takers sitting for the exam with accommodations requiring double-time. The early-September administration schedule is not a viable option for Massachusetts as, after an exhaustive search, a venue for administration during that week is not available.
The September 30-October 1 Massachusetts exam will be administered at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston and, if possible, at Western New England University in Springfield. In the event that limitations on large gatherings continue to interfere with the administration of the Massachusetts bar examination on September 30 and October 1, 2020, alternative means for testing of applicants for Massachusetts bar admission will be devised and announced.
Please note that the application period for the September 30/October 1 administration of the bar exam has not yet opened. We will notify you of the dates of the application period as soon as they have been determined.
