Dear Incoming Students,

We are excited to meet you this August and have partnered with all the student-facing departments at the law school to offer a series of opportunities to connect with you throughout the summer.

The first message scheduled for release on Wednesday, June 10, will focus on financial aid.

For now, we would like to hear from you! We want to know how we can engage you before the start of school. Please complete this short engagement survey by Wednesday, June 10, 2020.

Upcoming Events

  • Virtual BC Graduate Housing Fair: Friday, June 19, from 12-2 pm, EST. To learn more about area housing options and to register, http://events.bc.edu/event/graduatelaw_housing_fair#.XteA4flKjIU

  • Zero-L: We are offering the Zero-L program to all incoming 1Ls. In early July, you will receive information on how to access this self-paced online course which provides a broad introduction to what you can expect in law school and to the skills you will need to succeed, including the basics on how to read cases and understand the legal system. The Zero-L program can be completed on your own time in about 6-8 hours.

  • Lawyering Fundamentals: Lawyering Fundamentals provides a realistic preview of the law school classroom experience and gives incoming 1Ls the opportunity to practice key skills and get substantive feedback on writing and legal analysis before the semester begins. This limited-enrollment course will be offered from August 3-23, 2020. Lawyering Fundamentals is an excellent opportunity for students who want support in transitioning from typical undergraduate thought processes and study habits to lawyer-like thinking, reasoning, analysis, and problem-solving. The course is designed to be completed online over a 14 day period at your own pace, working approximately 2-3 hours a day (with weekend breaks). You will receive more information about how to enroll in Lawyering Fundamentals in late July.
