Claire Valentin is a staff attorney in the Immigration Impact Unit of the Committee for Public Counsel. She advises court-appointed attorneys in Massachusetts on the immigration consequences of criminal conduct and trains attorneys and community advocates on the intersection of criminal law and immigration law. Previously, Valentin worked as the supervising attorney of the Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts, where she provided comprehensive legal representation to unaccompanied immigrant youth on the North Shore of Massachusetts. From 2011-2013, Valentin served as a law clerk for the senior judges of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and to the Hon. A. Franklin Burgess Jr., District of Columbia Superior Court.
