Connell School of Nursing
My passion for serving others is best expressed in my role as a nurse and nurse practitioner.
About:
Having been inspired by the Jesuit mission of "men and women for and with others" at Holy Cross, Boston College was the perfect seamless transition to continue this mission. My passion for serving others is best expressed in my role as a nurse and nurse practitioner. Having grown up playing the BC version of monopoly "BC-opoly" with my family of Eagles (mom, dad, brother, and uncle) I always heard of all the amazing things the school had to offer. I already knew the campus and wanted to be a part of the great traditions and bustling campus community. Additionally, CSON offered close relationships with professors, mentoring from students, and access to the best hospitals in the Boston area. It is because of my clinical placement at Lahey in oncology that I now work here. The excellent mentorship from my fellow BC grand preceptor made my transition as a new grad NP so much easier.

The transition from Holy Cross to Boston College has been a chance to elevate my education, unlock new opportunities, and come one step closer to achieving my career goals.
About:
Attending Boston College has been an exciting new chapter in my nursing journey. The community of the faculty and peers has been supportive, understanding, and encouraging. One of the first mentors I had at BC was Anya Villatoro. She is the director of the Mary Mahoney Scholars Program which was just started this year for students in the Direct Entry Program. She created a safe space for students who identify as AHANA an/or First Generations to share their thoughts/feelings, build a sense of community, and learn about resources and opportunities offered at BC.
Career Goal:
My career goal is to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
