Erin Murphy-Swenson, DNP, MS, BSN, is an assistant professor of the practice at the Connell School of Nursing. Dr. Murphy-Swenson received her Master’s Degree specializing in Nurse Midwifery at New York University and received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Vanderbilt University.
Prior to the Connell School, Dr. Murphy-Swenson's experience included full-scope midwifery care, obstetrical triage, and gynecologic-oncology, where she co-managed the care of high-risk obstetrical and gynecologic-oncology patients at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center and Vanderbilt University. At Vanderbilt, she was an Instructor for the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine responsible for the education of ED residents, OBGYN residents, and Medical Students.
