Fifth-Year MSA/MSF for Current BC Undergraduates

Our highly ranked Master of Science in Accounting and Master of Science in Finance programs will prepare you for ever-shifting business landscapes. By enrolling in our specialized master’s programs you will gain mastery of fundamental industry principles, deepen your analytical skills, and enrich your career opportunities post-degree.

Boston College undergraduates currently in the second semester of their junior year or in the first or second semester of their senior year are eligible to apply to the Master of Science in Accounting or the Master of Science in Finance programs as fifth-year applicants. Once enrolled, students can complete their MSA or MSF degree in as little as nine months from the program start date.

Application Deadlines

Fall 2021 (for students graduating in May 2021)

Priority deadline: June 2, 2020 (receive an admission notification by July 1, 2020)
Round 2 deadline: December 2, 2020 (receive an admission notification by January 6, 2021)

Application Checklist

If you are a BC undergraduate applicant, you are eligible to waive the following application requirements:

  • Letter of recommendation
  • GMAT or GRE test score
  • $100 application fee

Complete the online Fifth-Year application:

  • Upload a 500-word essay indicating your present reasons for seeking the master’s degree, detailing your short-term and long-term professional career goals, and explaining how you think the BC MSA or MSF program will help you achieve these goals.
  • Upload a copy of your current resume.
  • Request an official transcript from Lyons Hall to be sent to the Carroll School of Management Office of Graduate Admissions; please make sure to request your transcript only after your final junior year grades have been posted.
