Fight the Flu: Get Vaccinated

University Health Services Vaccination Clinics

Boston College is offering seasonal flu shot clinics this fall along with the RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) vaccination and the updated COVID-19 booster.  Those who wish to obtain both their flu vaccination and the booster at the same time may do so.  The RSV vaccination will be offered to faculty and staff members.

Vaccination clinics will take place in the Connell Recreation Center’s wet classroom, located on the first floor adjacent to the pool, and accessible from the lobby area by turning right before the check-in desk. The pharmacy staff will confirm your eligibility at the site.

From September 10 through the end of the semester, the clinic will be open:

  • Every Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Note: Due to the Fall Break, the clinic will be open Tuesday (October 15th) through Thursday (October 17th) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE)

As you may be aware, Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), a viral infection spread by infected mosquitoes, has been identified in Massachusetts.

The most effective way to prevent mosquito-borne illnesses is to protect yourself from mosquito bites. Students are encouraged to follow these recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC):

Use an EPA approved insect repellent
Wear long-sleeved shirts and pants when outside
Treat clothing, shoes/boots and gear with insect repellant
Avoid when possible or limit outdoor activities during peak mosquito times (dawn and dusk)
Keep windows without screens closed
