International Engagement
In 2018, Boston College had more than 1,700 enrolled international students and approximately 278 international faculty and research scholars working on campus. At Campus Recreation, we aim to provide a foundational home for relationships and community through student employment opportunities; memberships; foreign language led Outdoor Adventure trips and group fitness classes; Intramurals; and open recreation hours for futsal, table tennis, and other international sports.
Memberships: All full-time BC undergraduate students are automatically members of Campus Recreation. All other Boston College students (Graduate/Exchange/Part-time/Woods College) currently enrolled in a degree-granting program and currently registered for classes, and their spouses, may purchase a membership by presenting a valid Boston College Eagle-One ID card (obtainable in Lyons Hall). Faculty and staff must also purchase a membership.
Foreign Language Led Trips/Classes: When Outdoor Adventures runs foreign lanauge led trip, it will be indicated on the list of trips. These trips are offered at different rates. Group fitness classes are free for all members. When a class will be led in a foreign language, it will be indicated on the schedule.
Intramurals: BC intramurals are open to all students, faculty, and staff (with a Campus Rec membership) at Boston College and, with a few exceptions, these activities are free of charge. A list of upcoming phases and sports offered can be found on the Intramurals page.
