Boston College's Eagle Trot 2020: Virtual 5K
November 25th through 29th
Join us Thanksgiving week for the Eagle Trot Virtual 5K! Set a goal, challenge a friend, and compete to be on the overall leaderboard! This event is designed for Boston College Eagles flying near and far.
This free virtual 5K is an opportunity for the BC community to connect from near and far this Thanksgiving season! Participants choose their own start time and place, whether it is a treadmill at 5 a.m. or their neighborhood street around noon. Simply complete 3.1 miles at some point between November 25th and 11:59pm November 29th.
The race period will begin Wednesday, November 25th and will go until Sunday, November 29th at 11:59pm EST. You can complete the required distance and submit your race any time during this period.
No later than Sunday, November 29th, submit your time using the form below. For any issues you may have with submission or to alternatively submit your time via email, contact Petey Manion at email@example.com.
If you are interested in being on the leaderboard and eligible for prizes, you will need a verified time that includes the date, distance, and time. You can share that via a photo of your GPS watch, screenshot of your fitness app, etc.
Everyone who finishes the 5K and submits their time will receive a customized finisher's certificate in their email. There will be prizes for the top 3 students and top 3 faculty/staff that complete the event. There will also be a prize for the top overall finisher.
Alumni who complete the race will receive a certificate of completion and appear on the leaderboard, however are not eligible for prizes.
Along with submitting your time, email us a picture of your event! Bonus points for photos of you holding or wearing our custom bib (click the link to download and print)!

Important: Please follow all social distancing guidelines and maintain 6 feet between you and others. Additionally, be sure to follow your own state and local restrictions about public spaces, trails, or running locations. Consider running/jogging/walking in your neighborhood, or another safe location!
