Academic Policy Modifications for Spring 2020 Semester Abroad Programs
In order to better accommodate students, the Office of International Programs is announcing acadmic policy modifications with regard to the Pass/Fail option, dropping and withdrawing from courses, in effect for Spring 2020 study abroad students only. These changes align with the modifications made on campus for spring 2020.
If you wish to take one or all study abroad courses pass/fail, please email your Office of International Programs (OIP) advisor the course title. You must make a request before the host institution’s final exam period.
Students are expected to register for 12 BC credits or more to maintain full-time student status. If your decision to drop or withdraw from courses would cause you to fall below full-time status, please email oipreg@bc.edu.
Please see the updated FAQ for further details.
To obtain approval for courses to count toward major, minor or core requirements, students should contact the department of the course they need to update. After consultation, the department will then fill the form out with the required information and submit on behalf of the student. Their submission is their approval of the substitution or waiver.
For Cultural Diversity credit requests, please fill out the online form here.
