Academics are always reimagining and reinventing the way they work. This has only accelerated recently. However, some things endure, even during the uncertainty and unprecedented changes in daily life. Research is one thing that continues, perhaps following familiar channels, perhaps diverted into unexpected directions.
The staff at Intersections invites professors to celebrate what remains and thrives amidst otherwise upended lives. Together, we will remember the durability of research and creative work and their centrality to the University’s mission.
In light of this, we will sponsor the Intersections Research forum. Each month, a faculty member will share her or his research or creative work informally on Zoom. The format will be an interview, followed by questions from the audience. We wish we could cater the event, but we will encourage participants to pour a glass of wine or preferred beverage, as they listen to their colleagues’ latest research.
