Since ancient times people from all cultures have looked at the horizon for directions. Sailors have looked for coordination, monks for spiritual growth, poets for inspiration, and pilgrims for renewal. The horizon has become a powerful metaphor that embraces the past and the present; what motivates and elevates us; what inspire our deepest desires, and our most lofty aspirations.

Horizon forum—a program sponsored by Intersections—takes advantage of this metaphor by inviting colleagues from different departments to reflect about topics relevant to our work at BC with an eye to our Jesuit and Catholic Mission. Through guest speakers, small group conversations, reflections and sharing of insights we hope to provide participants with opportunities to learn from another and to share practices that add value to our work. The program concludes with a special lunch intended to foster conversations and make new connections and/or rekindle relationships in a relaxed setting.
