Dear Reunion alumni,
First and foremost, I hope this message finds you and your family safe and well. I am writing to update you on the status of Reunion Weekend 2020. Due to the ongoing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the health and safety of our Boston College and Newton College alumni community as our top priority, the difficult decision has been made to cancel Reunion Weekend scheduled for May 29–31.
Although we are deeply disappointed that Reunion will not take place as originally planned, we are committed to celebrating your class anniversary during the course of the next academic year, provided travel and gatherings are permitted. On behalf of my colleagues in the Cadigan Alumni Center, please know we are working diligently to evaluate all of our options and will be in touch with each class individually as soon as we have more information to share.
We recognize how special reunions are, and we will do all we can to honor your class milestone in a meaningful way. While we will not be rescheduling Reunion Weekend 2020, we will strive to offer each of this year's anniversary classes a celebratory gathering at some point over the course of the coming fall or spring. I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all our Reunion Committee volunteers, who have spent so much of their time and energy to help plan all aspects of this year's Reunion cycle. My colleagues and I will continue to be in close communication with class leaders as we determine the specific path forward for each class.
In closing, please know how grateful we are for all the ways in which you support Boston College, and we look forward to being in touch soon with more updates regarding future programming details. I wish you all the very best and continued good health.
