Sebastian Cota is a junior pursuing an independent major in Global Public Health and the Common Good on the pre-med track. He is from Los Angeles, California. On campus Sebastian is part of the Vida de Intensa Pasión dance team (VIP). He also supports AHANA students through the STEM and Health Outreach for AHANA organization (SHOfA), gathering information on internships and summer opportunities for students to see in the SHOfA newsletter. Sebastian is currently a medical scribe at Boston Children’s Hospital in the Gastroenterology department as part of the SCRIPT mentorship program. Some of Sebastian's hobbies include photography, playing basketball and going on walks to the reservoir. Sebastian's goal is to become a public health physician, using his experience and education to address health disparities for underserved communities, specifically language barriers for Spanish-speaking populations, health literacy, accessing healthcare and access to healthy foods in food deserts.
