Brittney Gedeon is a senior studying biology and minoring in Global Public Health and the Common Good. Born and raised in Somerville, Mass., Brittney has a long standing interest in public health and epidemiology. At BC, she is involved in the Public Health Club and STEM & Health Outreach for AHANA (SHOfA), and conducts research in the Global Observatory on Pollution and Health. Outside of BC, Brittney is a research assistant for Massachusetts Health Quality Partners (MHQP), a local nonprofit that is dedicated to bringing key stakeholders together to improve health outcomes for patients in the state. Brittney is very passionate about health disparities among different racial and ethnic groups, and wishes to pursue a research career to eliminate these disparities, and dismantle discriminatory practices in the healthcare system.
