Benjamin Varieur

Student Ambassador

Benjamin Varieur is a senior studying Biology on the pre-med track and minoring in Global Public Health and the Common Good. Other than BC, he has lived in Rhode Island his entire life and enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, and both watching and playing sports. Since freshman year, he has been involved with BC’s chapter of MEDLIFE, which stands for Medicine, Education, and Development for Low Income Families Everywhere. The group has been lucky in the past to fundraise for and travel to Peru to assist in free mobile medical clinics and infrastructure projects for impoverished communities. This year he is fortunate enough to serve as one of the club’s presidents with hopes of attending another service trip in South America. He also conducted research for Dr. Landrigan and the Global Observatory on Pollution and Health at BC since his sophomore year. Additionally, he recently began doing research for Dr. Glenn Gaudette with the BC Engineering Department to further understand the interdisciplinary practices of engineering and public health. He hopes to continue to develop his global public health experience through medical school.
