December 16, 2020
Dear Members of the BC Community:
We are writing to let you know that despite the winter storm warning in effect for Thursday, the University will be open tomorrow to accommodate our final exam schedule.
Several in-class finals are scheduled throughout the day, and rescheduling these exams would be problematic given time conflicts, room availability, and existing travel plans.
Our Facilities staff are prepared to make the campus accessible for students and faculty whose exams are scheduled for tomorrow. Non-emergency staff who are planning to work on campus should make appropriate judgements in consultation with their supervisors, with the understanding that all offices are expected to be staffed with at least a skeleton crew.
In addition, for those who received an email for required COVID-19 testing this week, it is expected that the testing site in the Margot Connell Recreation Center will be open as scheduled.
Thank you for your understanding as we work towards the completion of final exams and the fall semester on December 21.
Sincerely, David Quigley Provost and Dean of Faculties Michael Lochhead Executive Vice President |
