Dr. Griffin was one of my first professors at BC. She still impacts my view of the Art of teaching and leadership. God bless your family. Your teaching lives on. I am forever blessed having had you as a teacher.

I am so sorry to hear about Mary's passing. She was a wonderful mentor to me in my Master's program at Boston College, and we had kept in touch over all these years. She had such a joy and positive spirit, and I am truly grateful to have known her. My condolences go out to Jim and to all of her family and friends. I just know she's watching over all of us!

I was saddened to read of Mary's death. She was a mentor and friend to me during the 4+ decades since I graduated from BC's School of Education. Mary could be relied upon for an array of things ranging from sage advice to dance lessons. I saw less of her since moving to NYC in 1996, but looked forward to our occasional telephone conversations and written correspondence every Christmas. Sending prayers and healing karma to Mary's husband, Jim.

Mary was a wonderful role model to me while growing up. Her kind nature and sense of humor will live on in my heart forever. Mary was always interested in everyones lives and had a way about her that made you me feel good about myself. She was a cousin, but more like a second mother.
