Charlotte North Named Tewaaraton Award Winner

FOXBORO, Mass. – Senior attacker Charlotte North has been named the 2021 Tewaaraton Award winner, given to the best men's and women's lacrosse player in the country.
 
North is the second Eagle to be named a winner, following Sam Apuzzo '19, who won the award in 2018.
 
A native of Dallas, North had one of the greatest seasons in college lacrosse history. Leading BC to its first-ever National Championship, she had an NCAA men's and women's DI record of 102 goals this year, while boasting a .630 shooting percentage. North added 12 assists for 114 points on the year, while also grabbing the second-most draws in a single season at BC with 174.
 
North played some of her best lacrosse late in the season, breaking the record for goals in an NCAA Tournament with 31. The previous record was 23. She was also second in the nation in points and third in the nation in draws.
 
North was named to the All-ACC first team and both the Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America first teams. North started every game this year and also set the ACC and BC record for goals in a single game with 10 against Virginia Tech on April 10 and set the BC record for goals in a NCAA Tournament game
