BC HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
• Casey Fitzgerald scored his third goal of the season 1:35 into the game on a feed from the corner from brother Ryan Fitzgerald and fellow freshman Colin White. It was the fastest goal to start a Beanpot game since Bryan Ewing scored 1:23 into the game on Feb. 6, 2006.
 
• Zach Sanford notched his eighth goal of the season while on the team's first power play of the game to even the score at two apiece, 6:05 into the second period
 
• Colin White helped the Eagles retake the lead at 10:29 of the second period on a power play goal that was assisted by Teddy Doherty and Ian McCoshen. White's 16th goal of the season was his 11th multipoint game for the freshman.
 
• On Boston College's third goal of the game, Ian McCoshen tallied his 12th point in his last eight games. Three of the last six games have been multipoint efforts for the Faribault, Minn. product.
 
• Boston College killed both of Harvard's power play opportunities in the game. Entering tonight, the Crimson had the second-best power play unit in the country, having converted 31.9 percent of all man-advantages this season.
 
• Boston College will be playing in its 35th Beanpot championship game next Monday against the winner of Boston University and Northeastern. This will be Boston College's ninth appearance in the championship game in the last 11 years.
 
• BC will be seeking its 20th Beanpot Championship title next week and their seventh in the last 10 years when they take on the winner of the BU/Northeastern matchup.
 
• With their 3-2 win over Harvard, Boston College is now 77-50 all-time in Beanpot play while they move to 28-13 over the Crimson.
 
• After Monday's game, there are 10 members on the current Eagles roster who have tallied at least one point during a Beanpot game in their career. Junior forward Ryan Fitzgerald leads all Eagles on the current roster with 5 points on three goals and two assists.
  
TURNING POINT
Boston College faced a 2-1 deficit but a power play goal by Zach Sanford midway through the second period tied it up. The Eagles gained another man advantage and Colin White netted the game-winner with another power play strike at 10:29 of the second period.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Casey Fitzgerald registered the game's first goal at 1:35 of the first period. After the first two shots of the possession were saved, the Eagles third shot from Colin White sailed wide right and into the corner. Ryan Fitzgerald secured the puck and tossed it to his brother in front of the net to set up the game's early opening tally.
 
Harvard bounced back with two unanswered goals at the 9:47 and 14:44 marks of the first period. The Crimson's equalizer came from Ryan Donato with the assist from Tyler Moy while the second came from Adam Baugman. Harvard's Kerfoot and Vesey each tallied assists.
 
Zach Sanford evened the score, 2-2, with a power play goal at 6:05 into the second period. With the man advantage, the Manchester, N.H. native buried the rebound after Ian McCoshen fired a rocket from the point that deflected off of Alex Tuch in front of the net. 
 
Already down a man, one of the Harvard defender's lost his stick, which allowed the Eagles an extra advantage on their second power play. White took it from the left circle, skated across the middle, and beat the Harvard goaltender glove side as the Eagles regained the lead.  
 
White's game winning goal was the second of his career and his first since Nov. 24 when he did so against Connecticut in a 5-1 win over the Huskies.
