Summer College Programs
two week programs for current college students
In GLI summer programing, you'll have the chance to build upon the academic experience you've gained from your home university. Whether you're a humanities or technical student looking to gain a foundation in business practices or a business student with a desire to experience hands-on, practical knowledge in your area of study, the program will help you reach your goals. Participants of the two-week course will engage in a variety of different learning types, including lectures, presentations, case studies, group projects, and site visits. Each course is designed with you, the student, in mind, and it is our hope that you leave with tools and ideas you can put to use in your classes and beyond.
Participants of summer programs work with leading Boston College and Boston-area faculty, including professors from Boston College's top ranked Carroll School of Management. Faculty will lead students through cutting edge research, technology, and practice, giving students the practical tools needed to succeed in the workplace. In addition, professors act as mentors to the students, helping them grow their business ideas and offering insights and takeaways that resonate beyond the classroom.
All GLI summer programing is based on the beautiful Boston College campus. Here students will live, work, eat, and socialize with participants and students from around the world. Having all programing located at the heart of campus allows students the opportunity to reflect on their academic work and personal and professional goals. Best of all, located on a metro line and just two miles from downtown Boston, students have easy access to explore the city.
One of the key pillars of programing at the GLI is networking, and social activities play a big part! Students are given opportunities to engage in a number of social activies both on and off campus, including tours of area universities, networking receptions around the city, and site visits to leading companies in the greater Boston area. Students are encouraged to experience the professional and social culture of Boston, and we'll work with you to ensure you're getting the most out of your trip. Whether you're touring a local museum or enjoying a baseball game at the historic Red Sox stadium, there's always something to do!
